Approach Cape Cod by the Bourne Bridge (Routes 195 and 495) instead of the Sagamore Bridge (Route 3). Some 25 percent fewer cars use the Bourne Bridge in a year’s time. Saturday mornings and afternoons are very busy on Cape Cod roads as guests check-out/check-in and residents run errands.

PERMIT SALES POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
The Oversand Program issues permits in person, on a first-come, first-served basis at the Oversand Station located adjacent to Race Point Beach in Provincetown. Permit sales begin on April 10, 2019. Four hundred (400) weekly permits may be active for any 7-day period during the season. Since 2006, permits have been available throughout the season.
When considering a 7-day permit, be aware that during shorebird nesting season, as protected populations, such as the piping plover and least tern increase, the area of the ORV corridor may decrease significantly, particularly during the months of June and July. The ORV program cannot predict changes in the corridor area, and these changes may happen without warning and/or advance notice. All 7-day permit sales are final. The ORV program does not issue any refunds.
Professional Driving School Cape Cod
Credit card is the preferred method of payment for all ORV permits. The ORV program does not accept pre-paid debit cards.
Driving Under The Influence
The Driver Alcohol Education program is an educational/treatment experience that is for persons convicted of a driving under the influence charge. The topics are related to alcohol and other drug use and its effect on driving and other life problems. The intent of the program is to raise one’s awareness and to influence behavioral changes, thereby lowering risk for any future DUI and/or substance use-based problems.
First Offender Driver Alcohol Education (DAE) Program
Each individual who attends the DAE program is expected to attend 40 hours of programming, as follows:
- One individual intake session.
- Thirty-two (32) hours of psycho-educational group sessions (one two-hour session each week for 16 weeks).
- Two (2) hours of victim impact awareness (MADD).
- Four (4) hours of attendance at a community-based self-help meeting (2 Meetings).
- One individual discharge (exit) session.
Upon satisfactory completion of the program, the individual will receive a certificate / letter of completion.
Second Offender Aftercare (SOA) Program
Individuals are required to contact NFI within ten days of being placed on probation. The program is as follows:
- Intake sessions followed by (at least) 52 weeks of treatment.
- Ninety (90) Day assessment period to evaluate (assess) additional treatment needs.
- NFI will provide each probation officer with monthly client status reports.
- Thirty (30) Self-Help meetings.
- One urine drug screen at the discretion of the clinician (rate established by the Lab).
- Two random breathalyzers.
