Only devices whose drivers support WIA will be available via this interface. Most name-brand cameras will work, but some no-name brands won't appear. If your device appears in the Control Panel's 'Scanners and Cameras' interface, then you should be able to work with WIA.

So you should look out for other applications/drivers in which your MIDI output device is open. For instance, make sure that 'Microsoft MIDI Mapper' (at least that's what it's called in Windows 7; I don't know if it even exists any more in Windows 10) isn't enabled in FCB Manager (or anywhere else), because 'behind the scenes' MIDI Mapper opens.
I am trying to get the VAG-COM software from Ross-Tech to work with Wine.the host operating-system is Mac OS X 10.6.2
the version of Wine is 1.1.34
the installation is done with Wine.
when I start the software from Mac's Finder, I get an error message: Can't Open Codes File: CODES.DAT
when I use explorer.exe from Wine, and manouvre to the installation-folder, the software starts correctly.
also when I open a command-prompt, and manouvre to the installation-folder, there is no error.
obviously, I need a shortcut / link, that gets me to the correct folder first and than starts the softeware.
the full path is: C:program filesvcdsvcds.exe
how can I make such link ??
thnksHello guys. I am new in mac world and in wine apps.
I have this singular situation:
I have a macbook with wine and winebottler installed.
Dr Van Den Berg Orlando

I want to use this exe app: azloader.exe. Ok, wine is able to load it normally. But... the problem is, my macbook has not the RS-232 port. So I bought a RS-232 to USB adapter. I've installed the correct 'drive' to use that. I've tried that in windows, and ok, the azloader was able to send data trhoutgh the 'com 3 port' (that's where the driver rs232-usb is installed).
But my macbook couldn't. I believe that wine runs the azloader right, but it's not able to use thet rs232-usb mac's drive! I haven't installed the driver for windows with wine.
What to do? install the rs232-usb windows driver using wine?

I've tried to 'create' the azloader.app using winebottler, but it never ends the process.
What more can I do?
