After going to Start menu, Network. There are my networked computers in the top section headed 'Computer'. And underneath, there's a section called 'Network Infrastructure'. Usually I have my router/modem in the bottom section, but for the second time now I've seen this additional thing there looking like some kind or Realtek adapter or something. I took a screenshot of the properties page in case it helps. It also has an icon unlike my router's icon in the same window.
None of the network adapters on my laptop are from Realtek, in fact the only Realtek device is the onboard sound. I'm connected wirelessly and have the other adapters disabled. The MAC address shown in the picture isn't my wireless adapter's. I tried disabling the wireless adapter and re-enabling, but it was still there.
On my router page, there was no computer connected to the network that was unusual. I tried rebooting the router, and it remained for a few minutes before finally vanishing. (maybe the reboot did it and it took a while for my laptop to notice tho)
I'm a little worried that this is a network intrusion but it could be some local activity that I don't understand.
I'm using Windows 7 32-bit, fully updated. My network is protected with WPA PSK.
I also found this page by googling the serial number, but the content in the PDF was confusing to me.

Can anyone shed some light on it? Or see if it's in your Network window as well?
